Two ways to a family picture
In the studio
or outdoors.
In the studio the weather does not matter: warm, steady light, a corner to change in and enough quiet for small children. Outdoors you get movement instead — nobody has to hold still, the children may run, and the pictures say more about your everyday life than about an appointment. We are equally happy with either, and we come to your home if you prefer. If you cannot decide, just tell us how old your children are.
The worry we hear most

without the stress.
Almost every parent writes us the same sentence: “Our child never goes along with this sort of thing.” That is normal, and no reason to move the appointment. A child who is allowed to just look first and has to do nothing at all is usually the most curious person in the room ten minutes later. We work at the child's pace, not against the clock.
Arriving comes first
The child can look around the room, touch the lamps, disappear behind the backdrop. We photograph the parents in the meantime — and almost always they join in by themselves.
No “say cheese”
A put-on smile shows in every picture. We work with small games and short cues to the parents; the children respond to that on their own.
Breaks are planned in
We do not photograph a crying child. Instead there is a break, something to drink, a round of silliness — and after that it almost always carries on.
Think about the time of day
Tell us when your child naps and when they are in a good mood, and we will put the appointment into that window if we can. If they fall ill at short notice, we find a new day together.
The first year
From the bump to
the first birthday.
Between pregnancy and the first birthday more changes in one year than in the ten after it. Maternity, newborn and baby sessions are all booked as a Studio package — so the only thing you choose is the moment.
Maternity
Usually between week 28 and 34 of the pregnancy. The bump shows well and standing is still easy. Partner and older siblings are welcome in the picture.
Newborn
Between the 5th and the 14th day of life works well — the little ones still sleep a lot then. Let us know before the birth and we will roughly pencil the period in.
Baekil, 100 days
In Korea the hundredth day is the first real occasion for photographs: the baby holds their head up, looks back at you and still sleeps reliably.
First birthday
Sitting, crawling, the first steps. For a Korean dol we set the table up — otherwise we simply photograph a child that is learning to walk.

The dol and
baekil table.
Baekil is the hundredth day of life, dol the first birthday. In Korea both come with a laid table: fruit, rice cake, lettering with the child's name — and at the dol the doljabi, where the child picks up an object said to hint at the life ahead. The child is photographed in front of that table. The simple table setup is included at no extra cost with all Studio and Snap packages, and with the Profil packages from Professional €130 upwards. Hanbok and more elaborate table decoration are not part of our own inventory — we arrange those through our partner Gaon Table, so just say so when you enquire.

Booking
Choose a package and a time online. Write in the notes how many of you are coming, how old the children are and whether a dog joins you.
A short word beforehand
We get back to you within 1 to 2 working days — about clothes, the time of day and, for an outdoor session, the location. For dol and baekil we sort the table out at this point.
The session
30 to 120 minutes of shooting time, depending on the package. You look along on the monitor in between. Parents belong in the picture too — usually that turns out to be the nicest one.
Selection & retouch
All the shots go into the cloud and you pick them yourselves. The retouched files usually follow in 2 to 3 weeks, prints by post 2 to 4 working days after dispatch.
You are free to use the pictures privately: keep them, share them with family and friends, show them on your private social media and print them yourselves. For commercial use, resale or use by a company we put a short written agreement in place beforehand.

The studio prices are for two people; each additional person costs €30. They cover the shoot, the selection through the cloud, the retouch of the images you choose and the prints.

Frequent questions
The important things first.
When is the best time for a maternity shoot?
Usually between week 28 and week 34 of the pregnancy. The bump shows clearly by then, and standing, sitting and changing clothes are still easy. Just tell us which week you are in and we will suggest a suitable date.
When should newborn photos be taken?
Between the 5th and the 14th day of life works well, because the little ones still sleep a lot and are easier to position. Newborn and maternity sessions are booked as a Studio package. Feel free to get in touch before the birth so we can roughly pencil in the period.
What should we wear?
Calm colours that go together work better than a strict matching look — two or three tones for the whole family are enough. Large lettering and strong patterns pull the eye away from the faces. With children, comfortable beats smart.
How long does a family session take?
In the studio the shooting time is 30 minutes for Basic, 60 minutes for Plus and 90 minutes for Premium. Outdoors or at your home it is 30, 60 or 120 minutes. Plan a little extra time for arriving and changing.
What if our child does not want to join in?
That happens often and is no problem. Nobody gets placed in front of the camera: the child may look around the room first, we photograph the parents in the meantime, and usually they join in by themselves. If not, we take the pictures the way the child is comfortable — in your arms, from behind, in the middle of playing.
How many people are included in the price?
The studio packages are for two people, each additional person costs €30. For outdoor, home and family party sessions please tell us how many of you there are when you enquire, and we will plan the time accordingly.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes. For a dog or pet we charge €15 extra. Please mention it when you book so we can set the session up for it.
What is a dol shoot?
Dol is the first birthday in Korea, baekil the hundredth day of life. Both are traditionally celebrated with a laid table, in front of which the child is photographed. Do you have Saturday appointments?
Yes, on Saturdays from 9 to 16. Outdoor and home shoots on a Saturday have their own price: €170 instead of €150 for Basic, €250 instead of €220 for Plus, €390 instead of €350 for Premium. The studio is closed on Sundays and Mondays as well as on public holidays.
When do we get the pictures?
You receive all the shots through the cloud to choose from. The retouched files are usually delivered within 2 to 3 weeks, prints by post 2 to 4 working days after dispatch. We answer enquiries within 1 to 2 working days.
